Bright Leaf Bologna Gravy on Toast

Gravy and bologna are sacred in the south! This delicious recipe seamlessly blends together two beloved classics - gravy and cold cuts. This dish is sure to become a new tradition in your home, cherished by all who taste it.

Ingredients:

  • (1) 16 oz. Pack of Bright Leaf Pork and Beef Bologna
  • Dab of Bacon Grease
  • (1) Stick of Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 Cup of Flour
  • 3 1/2 - 4 Cups of Milk
  • Bread

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Turn the stove on medium- heat and add a dab of bacon grease
  2. Take the bologna, remove the rings and cut the bologna into six slices like a pizza and fry to your liking
  3. Remove the fried sliced bologna
  4. Add butter to the pan with the appropriate amount of flour and whisk until you break up the clumps
  5. Put the bologna back into the pan, add the milk, stir together, and simmer and mix occasionally
  6. When it starts to get thick, add a little bit of black pepper and mix again until everything is combined
  7. Let it sit, and keep stirring until it's thick enough for you
  8. Grab your toast, throw them on a plate, and lather in your homemade bologna gravy
  9. Enjoy!
