Bright Leaf Spicy Honey Garlic Red Hots

This next-level appetizer will knock everyone's socks off at your Christmas party! Take the regular bland BBQ sauce and jelly cocktail weenies and spice them up with Bright Leaf Red Hots and this delicious combination of spices and sauce!

Ingredients:

 bright leaf red hots spicy garlic Christmas appetizer

  • (1) 1 lb. or 2 lb. Pack of Bright Leaf Red Hots
  • (1) Tbsp. of Cackalacky Pepper Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup of Tomato Ketchup
  • 1/4 Cup of Honey
  • 2 Tbsp. of Japanese BBQ Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. of Freshly Grated Ginger
  • 1 Tsp. of Toasted Sesame Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 4 -5 Cloves of Minced Garlic

  1. Mix ketchup, honey, Japanese BBQ sauce, ginger, Cackalacky sauce, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. Slice the Bright Leaf Red Hots into about 1/2-inch thick pieces
  3. In your skillet, blacken the Red Hots first, and then add garlic, and extra virgin olive oil, and cook, constantly stirring, for about 1 minute.
  4. Next, add the made sauce to the skillet, and cook till the sauce bubbles and the Red Hots are well coated. The sauce will thicken when removed from heat.
  5. Grab some toothpicks and enjoy!
