You know a recipe will be good when you're handed a notecard. This is an old family recipe from Aunt Betty, Mrs. Jean's sister. This is not your typical beanie weenies, so follow the recipe correctly. It'll feed a family of five, and it's affordable. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- (1) 1 lb. Pack of Bright Leaf Hot Dogs
- (2) Cans of Baked Beans
- 5 (recommend 6) - Slices of Pineapple
- Butter
- Brown Sugar
Cooking Instructions:
- Slice the Bright Leaf hot dogs and brown them with a drizzle of oil in a skillet.
- Transfer the hot dogs and baked beans into a baking dish, mixing them together.
- Arrange pineapple slices evenly on top of the beans.
- Blend softened butter and brown sugar in a small bowl—spoon small dollops of this mixture over the pineapple.
- Place the dish in a preheated oven at 350°F to 400°F and bake for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and heated.
- Enjoy as is, or pair it with coleslaw for a delicious bonus!
